On July 14, 2025, the European Union officially revised Regulation (EU) 2025/1399 on the European POPs Regulation PFOA in the Official Gazette, which came into effect on the twentieth day after its publication. The main control limit requirements for PFOA, its salts, and related substances have not changed. For substances, mixtures, and articles, the content of PFOA and its salts is less than or equal to 0.025mg/kg, and the individual and total content of PFOA related substances is less than or equal to 1mg/kg.

▶ Update Content (PFOA) The main content of this revision is to extend the validity period of specific exemption for the use of fire extinguishing foam (installed in the system) containing PFOA and its salts and related substances, and set new concentration limits for PFOA related compounds in fire extinguishing foam.
